Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures normally acquired through 2 years’ experience in a Medical Center or similar setting.
• Knowledge of nursing leadership through supervision, charge nurse, or project implementation roles.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals and groups at all levels.
• competency in Microsoft Windows required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses acuity to maintain staffing levels for designated shift and on-coming shift in collaboration with patient placement.
• Monitors medical wide activity via reports, rounds, patient acuity, admissions, and other communications.
• Plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs for orientation, staff development, and continued growth; counsels staff and maintains communications with peers and superiors.
