All CDC recommended vaccines are required vaccinations at Oaklawn. Seasonally, and upon determination of Senior leadership, the Influenza Vaccine may be mandatory; in those years, compliance is required. For all vaccines, Religious Exemptions and Medical Contraindications are available.
Responsibilities and authority for nursing management, supervision of nursing personnel, adjustment of daily staffing assignments and patient care in the clinical areas during their shift. The supervisor acts on behalf of hospital administration when necessary and communicates and collaborates with appropriate others to assure patient care and personnel management functions.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse; three years’ clinical experience; (BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association), ACLS, and PACS certifications within one year of hire. TNCC certification within two years of hire.
Bachelor’s degree or specialty certification in nursing preferred. Monitoring interpretation skills. Demonstrate leadership abilities, able to work under stressful situations and possess clear oral and written communication skills.
Work in an unpredictable environment encountering stressful situations and exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases. May experience traumatic situations including deceased patients.
Constantly see/visual acuity, talk/hear. Frequently stand, walk, reach, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 50+ lbs.
