Role Summary

At Layne's, the bar is set high and our leaders continue to set the bar higher. We work diligently to ensure every guest has the same positive experience every time they visit us. We deliver Hot Food Fast, with exceptional guest service. And we aim for this experience to be Perfect Every Time. The role and expectations of a Shift Leader is very simple: lead by example, coach in the moment, continually teach and preach our standards, and be willing to lead and make work fun!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Have an understanding of each position and what their roles are.
• Be trained and competent in all hourly positions and responsibilities.
• Able to complete manager functions on the POS.
• Manage labor and schedule requirements.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Recognize coaching and teaching opportunities.
• Operational awareness: know what is going on at all times.
• Have positive interactions with guests and be present for both guests and team.
• Exceed expectations to uphold a clean restaurant in the front and kitchen.
• Utilize company documentation and checklists to ensure every shift is PERFECT EVERY TIME.
• Complete closing shift paperwork.
• Hold themselves and others accountable.
• Be the leader of a positive company culture.

• Must be 16 years or older.
