Job Description

Under the direction of the Slot Director, the Slot Shift Director is responsible for providing leadership, integrity, and management of the operations on their shift. This includes currency and ticket accountability, employee development, staffing and scheduling, and management of all procedures that support the SLOT operations while maintaining the highest standards of player service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
• Enforce all departmental rules, policies, and regulations.
• Account for all issued and non-issued SLOT keys and equipment.
• Maintain daily staffing levels, plan personnel scheduling and coordinate shift schedules.
• Train, evaluate, monitor employee history sheets, and make recommendations for promotions.
• Ensure all SLOT machines are clean and in operating condition, specifically bill acceptors, ticket printers, and progressive meters.
• Communicate directly with SLOT Departmental staff.
• Handle customer service issues.
• Conduct oneself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in SLOT/Slot operations in a similar position required; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

• Job requires frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, or smelling; often lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. Exposure to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant public interaction may occur.
• Must communicate effectively with guests in English.

Gaming Licensure Requirement

Final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure via a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations before an offer is extended. Background checks may include a credit check and a criminal background check.
