Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood seeks a Slot Shift Director to lead shift operations, ensure currency and ticket accountability, and develop the team within a dynamic casino environment.

You will oversee staffing, training, and interactions with guests while maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies on a fast-paced floor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years' experience in SLOT operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole policies.
  • Enforce departmental rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Maintain accountability for SLOT keys and equipment.
  • Manage daily staffing levels and shift schedules.
  • Train, evaluate, and promote staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure SLOT machines are clean and in working condition (bill acceptors, printers, meters).
  • Maintain direct communication with SLOT staff.
  • Handle customer service issues.
  • Adhere to all regulations and policies; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Slot Director the Slot Shift Director is responsible for providing the leadership, integrity, and management of the operations on their shift. This includes currency and ticket accountability, employee development, staffing and scheduling, and the management of all procedures and process that support the SLOT operations while maintaining the highest standards of player service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for enforcement of all departmental rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Responsible for accountability of all issued and non-issued SLOT keys and equipment.
  • Responsible for daily staffing levels, personnel scheduling and coordination shift schedules.
  • Responsible for training, evaluating, monitoring employee history sheets and making recommendations for promotions.
  • Responsible for ensuring all SLOT machines are clean, and in operating condition, specifically bill acceptors, ticket printers and progressive meters.
  • Responsible for direct-line communication with SLOT Departmental staff.
  • Responsible for handling customer service issues.
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 4 years' experience in SLOT/Slot operations in a similar position required; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
