Job summary

Super Star Car Wash is seeking a Shift Manager to act as Manager-on-Duty, leading daily operations, safety, guest experience, and team performance at our Vista location. You will drive staffing, coaching, and brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of supervisory or customer-service experience, strong leadership, and a hands-on management style to develop teams and ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or customer-service experience.
• Retail, hospitality, or car wash experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, make decisions, and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Own daily shift execution, including staffing, business flow, safety, and service standards.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty, resolving guest and team issues with confidence and discretion.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions through clear communication and follow-through.
• Execute opening and closing procedures and maintain operational readiness.
• Lead, coach, and hold team members accountable to operational standards.
• Provide shoulder to shoulder coaching and celebrate and recognize team members.
• Support training completion and promote a culture of engagement and accountability.
• Model company values and enforce policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify safety risks and address issues immediately.
• Ensure consistent execution of brand and cleanliness standards.

The Opportunity

Shift Managers are the operational leaders who drive our business daily. As Manager-on-Duty, you are accountable for driving onsite culture, team performance, safety, service execution, and the overall guest experience. What You'll Do

Lead Operations

• Own daily shift execution, including staffing, business flow, safety, and service standards

Uphold Safety & Brand Standards

Rotational Leadership Focus Areas –

To support leadership development, Shift Managers rotate through the following focus areas:

People & Staffing Leadership -- Scheduling, onboarding support, attendance tracking, performance documentation, and training compliance

Sales & Training Leadership -- Team training, coaching sales behaviors, certification support, and identifying development gaps

Operations & Tunnel Leadership -- Site cleanliness, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance coordination, and lot organization

What We’re Looking For

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or customer-service experience
• Retail, hospitality, or car wash experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, make decisions, and drive results
• High integrity and professionalism
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate, coach, and hold others accountable
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Energy, adaptability, and a hands-on leadership style
