Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at the Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI. The role provides management oversight of all maintenance-related projects and ensures safe, compliant execution of the plan.

The position requires supervisory experience, ability to read Gantt charts, CMMS usage, and a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Industrial experience and a technical degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided).
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly; may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety; MSHA standards compliance in all maintenance work.
• Assign work to the team per daily/weekly schedule.
• Oversee quality execution of work; report deviations and propose solutions.
• Provide coaching, leadership, and direction to department personnel.
• Distribute work orders and report progress to senior shift manager daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of Responsibilities :

• Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet all MSHA standards.
• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided)
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly. Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.
