Job summary

Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken is seeking experienced Shift Managers to lead daily operations, coach and develop team members, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role offers growth into future management positions in a fast-paced, food-service setting across Metro Detroit locations.

You will uphold food quality, safety, and service standards, drive sales, and foster a positive team culture with accountability.

Qualifications

• Food service, restaurant, or hospitality management experience required.
• Customer service experience (3+ years preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and assess team member productivity and performance.
• Manage daily store operations and support restaurant profitability.
• Increase sales through exceptional guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and operational execution.
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve performance expectations.
• Oversee inventory, stock levels, and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with Captain Jay's standards and procedures.
• Set and execute performance goals to improve operational results.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
