Job summary

Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken is hiring experienced Shift Managers to lead daily operations, coach staff, and deliver outstanding guest experiences in the Metro Detroit area. The role offers progression toward Assistant Manager and General Manager positions within a fast-paced, supportive culture.

Shift Managers will oversee service quality, food safety, scheduling, and training while driving sales and operational excellence. Flexible evenings and weekends preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality management is required.
• Customer service experience (3+ years preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and assess team member productivity and performance.
• Manage daily store operations and support restaurant profitability.
• Increase sales through exceptional guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and operational execution.
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve performance expectations.
• Oversee inventory, stock levels, and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with Captain Jay's standards and procedures.
• Set and execute performance goals to improve operational results.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
