Shift Manager (Jamba Airport Trade Center)

Position Summary

A Shift Manager acts as the person in charge during their shift, executing store operations, supervising team members, and ensuring excellent guest experiences in the absence of or under the direction of the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or Store Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough, products like lemonade, butter, dips, Cinnabons, and yogurt; including rolling, twisting, baking, and packaging.
  • Oversee baking processes, monitor oven times, and maintain product quality.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by embodying brand values (F.I.B.E.R. and B.O.O.S.T.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and store facilities.
  • Operate food preparation machinery and manage inventory supplies.
  • Adhere to safety, health, and security guidelines.
  • Support training and development of team members.
  • Prepare drinks, bag orders, and maintain proper health and safety practices.
  • Coordinate team activities, manage breaks, and handle staffing issues like call-offs or no-shows.
  • Monitor product quality, handle guest concerns, and ensure a positive experience.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including maintenance and cleaning.
  • Manage store funds, complete cash reports, and follow cash handling policies.
  • Comply with all relevant policies, safety standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • 6 months to 2 years of retail management or food service experience.
  • Food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Basic math, reading skills, and ability to operate a calculator.
  • Attention to detail, leadership skills, positive attitude, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with POS systems, computers, or retail technology.
  • Knowledge of food industry or retail operations is a plus.
Physical Demands and Job Requirements
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with agility and stamina.
Age and Certification Requirements
  • Minimum age 16 for oven operation; 18 for mixer operation.
  • Reliable transportation, current ServSafe certification, and compliance with local health laws.
Work Environment
