Job summary

Mars Petcare in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a 15-22 person production team and drive safety, quality, and efficiency gains in a high-speed facility.

You will oversee CI initiatives, guide Autonomous Maintenance programs, and develop talent while ensuring budgets, design specifications, and regulatory adherence are met. Strong leadership and communication in English are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• 5+ years working in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment.
• Ability to effectively deploy training strategies and to directly train others.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and email.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of 15-22 associates to efficiently convert materials into quality products ensuring safety, security, sanitation, and adherence to design specifications and budgets.
• Recommend and implement CI improvements in methods, equipment, systems, safety, product quality and the organization.
• Guide teams through Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
• People management including hiring, coaching, training and evaluating associate performance and create development plans aligned with career goals.
• Assist Production Leads in coordinating materials, staffing, and resources for efficient line operations and changeovers.
• Handle additional ad hoc tasks as needed.
