Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Shift Manager for our Petcare operations. This role leads 15–22 associates, drives safety, quality, and cost improvements, and develops talent in a high‑speed production environment.

You will deploy training, manage schedules, coordinate materials and resources, and guide autonomous maintenance while ensuring budgets and design specs are met. The position requires 12‑hour shifts and strong CI background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• 5+ years working in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment.
• Ability to deploy training strategies and train others.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and email.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of 15–22 associates to efficiently convert materials into quality products with safety, sanitation and budget adherence.
• Recommend and implement CI improvements in methods, equipment, systems, safety, product quality and organization.
• Guide teams through Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
• People management including hiring, coaching, training and evaluating associate performance and development plans.
• Coordinate materials, staffing, and resources for efficient line operations and changeovers.
• Handle additional ad hoc tasks as needed.
