Job summary

Steak ’n Shake in the Town of Lansing, NY is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability. You’ll open and close with the team, set the tone for the shift, and coach staff to deliver fast, friendly service that meets brand standards.

Qualifications

• US work authorization is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Prior supervisory or restaurant management experience preferred.

• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
