Job summary

Tommy Bahama in the United States is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead our front-of-house team, drive sales, and develop talent across the island-life concept.

You will manage staffing levels, monitor payroll hours to budgeted targets, and partner with regional and corporate teams to execute learning programs that improve guest service and team growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house teams in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to monitor payroll hours and stay within budgeted payroll percentage.
• Proven ability to implement training programs and track on-the-job transfer of learning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster open dialogue with staff and leaders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of the house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels. Manage payroll hours to budgeted payroll percentage.
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
• Develop/streamline restaurant processes in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests. Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safely Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery: Hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys and other tools provided to complete work
• Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
