Job summary

Tommy Bahama in Canada is seeking a front-of-house leader to foster sales and service excellence while developing the team. You will recruit, mentor, and implement training, monitor performance, and ensure budgetary compliance across the restaurant.

Qualifications

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Routine standing for duration of shift
• Safe operation of restaurant equipment and tools

Responsibilities

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants, including but not limited to proactively recruiting and mentoring the team
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job
• Manage individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests. Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment
