Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in Indiana. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, staff scheduling, and teamwork.

In addition to managing team members and training Sandwich Artists, you will ensure equipment is functioning, perform shift reports, and handle day-to-day administrative tasks. This is a full/part-time role with variety of shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served to standard.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional, and inviting.
• Control inventory and assist with scheduling.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash.
• Complete paperwork and shift reports.

• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
