Job Description:
Responsible for supporting the General Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the profitability of one RaceTrac store during designated shifts. While leading the shift, you will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, talent leadership, and driving success.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
- Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
- Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
- Complete guest transactions efficiently at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest complementary products.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, involving regional team members as needed.
- Food Safety and Availability:
- Monitor and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety and food safety regulations.
- Ensure all food offerings are available and properly stocked.
- Store Cleanliness and Presentation:
- Maintain a clean and fully stocked store to enhance guest experience.
- Execute shift duties, uphold presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards.
- Leading Talent:
- Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values: Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.
- Exhibit leadership qualities such as servant-leadership, task prioritization, going the extra mile, listening, respectful communication, and proactive problem-solving.
- Lead coaching, training, and assessment of team members, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Provide performance feedback and development recommendations to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
- 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of management experience preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, or reach repeatedly, with minimal breaks.
- May require obtaining and maintaining a food handler permit, depending on local or state laws.
- May require obtaining and maintaining an alcohol server permit, depending on local or state laws.
