Position Summary

The Shift Manager/Lead is responsible for Quality and Services systems in the restaurant. Managers coach and train Donatos Associates to produce the highest quality food and to provide friendly and honest service. The Shift Manager/Lead may open or close the restaurant in the absence of an Assistant General Manager or General Manager, ensuring a quality opening and/or closing by completing administrative responsibilities while maximizing the safety and security of our Associates, Customers, and Assets.

We are proud to announce the opening of one of the first Donatos Franchises in Texas! The restaurant is scheduled to open in December. We plan to open 2 more locations over the next 5 years. This is a great opportunity for Shift Managers/Leads to advance to Assistant Manager or General Manager as our franchise grows!

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Open and/or close the restaurant with proper administrative procedures and complete assigned paperwork.
  • Manage the people, product, and equipment of the restaurant to deliver the Mission & Promise.
  • Manage safety files and health and food safety binders for all Associates.
  • Evaluate coupon usage and detailed sales reports.
  • Complete required forms in DNET for product quality, refunds, safety incidents, etc.
  • Take ownership of managing Product Quality, Service, and Prosperity.
  • Manage food, labor, and costs through training and coaching.
  • Adjust staffing timely based on business volume.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through feedback programs and refinement.
  • Schedule and train proper oven cleaning & maintenance within Donatos standards.
  • Ensure shift execution with checklists, game plans, and dough plans.
  • Control food costs related to waste, prep, and theft during shifts.
  • Engage with customers attentively and enthusiastically.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
  • Anticipate and remove service barriers.
  • Handle customer complaints with care and empathy.
  • Uphold Donatos Service Behaviors.
  • Contribute to team morale with enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Use job aids like Donatos-U for training and standards reinforcement.
  • Coach on drivers for People, Promise, and Prosperity.
  • Model performance standards and enforce norms including safety and cleanliness.
  • Educate associates on labor laws and policies.
  • Train and enforce delivery routing and cash control procedures.
  • Ensure food safety and personal hygiene standards are met.
  • Manage inventory, vendor orders, and invoices.
  • Handle deposits securely.
  • Manage dough and day dots for quality.
  • Enforce food safety and sanitation requirements.
Education

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic Math and Reading Skills
  • TX Food Manager/Handler Certification (ServSafe)
  • Valid TX Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Perform essential functions safely and meet productivity standards
  • Stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Occasional bending and twisting
Work Experience
  • Previous Manager or Team Lead experience
  • Completion of Manager Donatos-U modules and food safety courses
  • Ability to execute all items on the Manager readiness checklist
