Job summary

Subway is hiring a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations. You will focus on delivering an excellent guest experience, ensuring food quality and service, maintaining a clean and functional restaurant, and supervising staff during shifts.

The role includes training Sandwich Artists, managing inventory, coordinating schedules, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. weekend/evening shifts are common, with compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

Day to Day Duties

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
