Job summary

Steak ’n Shake Niles is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations with energy, accountability, and a focus on guest satisfaction. You will oversee openings/closings, motivate the team, and ensure fast, friendly service that meets brand standards.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. US work authorization and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or restaurant management roles preferred.
• US work authorization.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability.
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
