Job summary

Smoothie King Colorado is looking for a dedicated Shift Manager to oversee team operations and ensure excellent guest experiences. You will lead shifts, guiding 3–4 team members, and actively participate in all rushes to enhance team performance.

This position requires previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to weekend and holiday availability. Starting pay is $21.27/hr plus tips, with various benefits including a 401(k) with match and paid training.

At Sankofa, the Shift Manager runs the floor, sets the tone, and makes sure every guest interaction meets our standard.

Sankofa Smoothies is a top 2% Smoothie King franchise, the #1 operator in Colorado, and a Certified Training Store. We promote from within and pay based on performance.

We’re not looking for someone to fill a shift. We’re looking for someone who makes the shift better.

You’ll lead 3–4 team members per shift, own the guest experience, coach in real time, and keep the store ready from open to close. Now hiring for our Northfield and DTC locations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Every shift, you own the floor.

You’ll run the huddle, position the team, protect the guest experience, coach in the moment, correct drift before it compounds, make it right when something goes wrong, and leave the store ready for the next shift.

You’ll also communicate issues early — store needs, team member performance, guest concerns, maintenance, or anything leadership needs to know.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• Prior supervisory or shift leadership experience in a fast-paced environment; QSR strongly preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certificate required before running solo shifts. You do not need it on day one if you are otherwise a strong fit.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Reliable attendance: showing up as scheduled, communicating early when issues arise, and following attendance expectations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Top candidates have led under pressure, coached in real time, made decisions without perfect information, and held standards without needing someone watching.

WHAT YOU’LL EARN:

• Base pay starts at $21.27/hr plus tips.
• Raises are tied to certification gates and performance benchmarks, not tenure. Certification areas include inventory and ordering, catering, training, and interviewing.

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY:

Shifts include opens, mids, and closes. Weekend availability is required. Part-time and full-time roles are available, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
