Job summary

Steak 'n Shake in Aurora is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, coach a team, and ensure top-tier guest experiences. The role offers competitive hourly pay up to $22.25 plus bonus-style incentives and strong benefits. You will manage openings/closings, uphold brand standards, and contribute to a supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory or shift-lead experience, U.S. work authorization, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability.
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly
