Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services seeks a Shift Leader for the Housing & Homeless Services program in Greater Boston. You will assist the Director, oversee shelter operations, and support Shelter Support Workers to deliver safe, compassionate care in a trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities include safety monitoring, crisis intervention, documentation in HMIS, and collaboration with staff to follow policies. This non-exempt role offers varied shifts and a $24.48 hourly rate plus a $3,000 bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in psychology or human services.
• Minimum two years in health or human services fields preferred.
• Experience with unhoused individuals and behavioral health or substance use issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist director to oversee shelter operations and staff.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation; notify supervisor as needed.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor facilities and guests.
• Complete intake and HMIS documentation; follow safety plans.
• Attend regular staff meetings and supervision sessions.
