Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (psychology or human services).
• Two (2) years of experience in health or human service-related fields preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience working with unhoused individuals and those with behavioral health/substance use disorders preferred.
• Professional writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site oversight of the shelter and Shelter Support Workers.
• Ensure safe, respectful, compassionate services in a low-threshold environment anchored in trauma-informed care.
• Maintain safety through visual monitoring and routine checks; redirect guests as needed.
• Complete intake documentation and HMIS entries as required.
• Follow safety plans and report incidents verbally and in writing.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation; activate 911 when necessary.
• Support staff in following policies and procedures and assist guests with concerns.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and supervision.
