Job summary

Beaumont House in Walton-on-the-Naze is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to help run the service and support the care team in delivering exceptional care. You will work closely with Team Leaders and the Service Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a warm, safe home for residents.

The role offers a permanent contract, 38 hours per week, with shifts including early, mid, and late patterns. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with older and vulnerable people.
• Experience supporting end-of-life care in a care setting.
• Understanding of CQC fundamental standards related to this role.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support shift plans and rota management.
• Lead the service and empower the team as a best-practice role model.
• Champion for customers and staff to create a happy, homely atmosphere.
• Liaise with GPs and social workers for customers as needed.
• Complete staff competencies for medication and practice observations; monitor daily medication administration.
• Assist with ordering and collection of medication for customers.
