Job summary

Rubio's Restaurant Group is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise a productive, profitable restaurant while ensuring Guest satisfaction, high food quality and safe operations. You will oversee Front and Back of House teams, manage daily prep, cleanliness, temperatures and compliance with Rubio's standards.

You will support the General Manager and Assistant Manager, provide performance feedback, and participate in ongoing training to drive team effectiveness and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Some restaurant or retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of aspects of the restaurant industry.
• Language: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Math: Basic computations to complete financial paperwork.
• Other: Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Other Abilities: Ability to lead a team and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with Guests, Team Members and Management to uphold Rubio's standards.
• Supervises Front of the House and Back of the House team members and daily operations.
• Performs production staff duties including cleaning, stocking and maintaining cleanliness.
• Inspects food for proper portioning, temperature and presentation.
• Ensures safety policies and proper temperatures of food products are followed.
• Completes financial paperwork daily and deposits money per policy.
• Supports ongoing training and development of staff.
