Job summary

Askar Brands is seeking a Shift Leader to help lead our restaurant team and deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will support the Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations, coaching team members, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring shifts run efficiently.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Team Members during each shift (Team Leadership).
• Delegate tasks and communicate shift goals and priorities (Team Leadership).
• Coach employees with timely, constructive feedback (Team Leadership).
• Support onboarding and training of new Team Members (Team Leadership).
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment (Team Leadership).
• Perform all Team Member responsibilities as needed (Restaurant Operations).
• Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational and sales goals (Restaurant Operations).
• Ensure all food, beverage, and service standards are consistently met (Restaurant Operations).
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant appearance (Restaurant Operations).
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate supply needs (Restaurant Operations).
• Complete shift change communication to ensure smooth transitions (Restaurant Operations).
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly (Guest Service).
• Lead by example by providing friendly, fast, and accurate service (Guest Service).
• Encourage Team Members to create a welcoming and positive guest experience (Guest Service).
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards (Other Management Tasks).
• Follow company policies related to safety, security, and loss prevention (Other Management Tasks).
• Manage cash handling procedures and monitor cash over/short during each shift (Other Management Tasks).
