Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader in Texas to drive operations and coach team members while maintaining quality, service, and cleanliness on each shift.

You will manage shift workflows, support cost and sales goals, uphold safety standards, and foster a positive work culture. Role is based at your home restaurant with opportunities to assist nearby locations and participate in ongoing leadership development.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• ServSafe Food Certification or ability to obtain it during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members and new hires.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
