Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader in Lawton, OK to drive shift management, coach Team Members, and uphold safety and quality standards at the home restaurant. You’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to sharpen leadership skills and support daily operations.

You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and be flexible to overnight and weekend schedules. ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it during training is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking.
• Possess ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members to improve skills and performance.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
