Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations, coach Team Members, and uphold quality, service, and cleanliness across shifts. You’ll lead by example, ensure safety standards, and optimize labor and food cost while delivering fast, friendly service.

Based at your home restaurant, you’ll collaborate with the Restaurant Manager team, participate in training, and help build a strong shift culture that fuels growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to work overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach and motivate team members to improve skills and performance.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
