Job summary

Whataburger in Norman, OK is seeking a Shift Leader to spark efficiency and guest satisfaction on each shift. You will lead shift management, coach and motivate Team Members, and uphold food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards while controlling costs.

You’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to build skills, drive operational excellence, and foster a positive work culture. This role offers weekly pay, flexible schedules, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Be able to meet business needs with open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, and dependable attendance.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Possess ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members to improve skills and performance.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales, and inventory basics.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.

• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
