Job summary

McMarro Family Restaurants Oxnard, CA is seeking a Shift Leader to support the GM and AM in operating a profitable restaurant while upholding Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC). The Shift Leader will lead crew during shifts, plan for each shift, monitor performance, and ensure safety and profitability.

You will train staff, address performance issues, and communicate with leadership to meet targets. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within the restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
• Willingness to relocate to other restaurants in the organization if needed.
• Flexible schedule across all dayparts and weekends.
• Serve Safe certification (training provided).
• Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Willingness to learn administrative tasks such as scheduling, ordering, and inventory.
• Ability to lead projects with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to crew and managers during shifts to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness.
• Plan for each shift, monitor performance, and take action to meet company standards.
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability, and prepare the team for the next shift.
• Assist in meeting targets during shifts and help the restaurant reach its goals.
• Train all employees and address performance issues with coaching.
• Communicate difficult issues to GM/AM promptly.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive environment for staff and guests.
