Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. seeks a Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced team on a daily basis, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth store operations.

You will coach staff, manage food service tasks, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards while driving performance and growth within the team. You’ll be part of a hands-on leadership culture with opportunities for advancement, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to obtain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).
• Strong communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Set a cheerful, can-do tone to motivate the team.
• Provide direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time and offer guidance during shifts.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Train and guide the team to meet service and safety standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift-change communication and keep the team aligned.
