Job summary

WhiteWater Express is seeking a Shift Leader for a full-time role in Lexington, VA. You’ll supervise the shift, support a team, and ensure smooth operations while delivering friendly customer service.

Starting pay is $15–$17 per hour plus biweekly tips, with paid training and opportunities to grow into management. You’ll stay active, lead by example, and help maintain high wash quality and safety on the floor.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team oversight experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active during shifts.
• Willingness to train and promote within the company.

Responsibilities

• Support daily shift operations and assist with team oversight.
• Ensure team members understand and complete their responsibilities.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Help customers choose wash packages and memberships.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with incident reports and operational documentation.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Support store opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and wash quality.
• Encourage a positive, team-focused work environment.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on your feet, leading the team, supporting customers, and helping the operation run smoothly throughout the shift.

What We’re Looking For

• 18+ years old
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Previous leadership, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
• Available evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Dependable, motivated, and customer-focused
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
• Must pass a background check
