Job summary

BD is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise and coordinate manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production of medical devices under FDA/GMP and BD Quality System requirements.

You will lead production teams, drive performance against safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaboration with HR and engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in regulated environments (FDA/GMP).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to analyze production data and drive operational decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple shifts; strong people management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP and electronic quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance.
• Ensure staffing aligns with operational needs and coach staff accordingly.
• Drive production targets while maintaining compliance and product quality.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Support Lean initiatives and kaizen events.
