The Shift Leader role involves leading shifts by managing and developing team members to deliver excellent product quality and customer service, increase sales, and manage costs.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort with noisy environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to manage potential allergens (peanut, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish)
  • Kitchen skills, including handling heat and knives, are a plus
  • At least 18 years old
  • Preferred: 1+ year supervisory experience in food service or retail
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-9 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Illinois applicants: food safety certification within 30 days of employment
Job Duties and Functions:
  • Lead and manage team members during shifts, assign tasks, and provide feedback
  • Ensure security procedures are followed
  • Maintain back-of-house standards
  • Count cash drawers and handle cash properly
  • Prepare quality food products efficiently
  • Follow health and safety standards
  • Restock supplies
  • Clean and maintain cleanliness of the premises
  • Operate cash register and handle customer issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Note: All Shift Leaders and Managers must pass a Food Safety Certification course through the appropriate certifying body. Failure to pass after two attempts disqualifies continued employment in this role.
