Job summary

Jimmy John's in Marshall Township, Michigan is seeking Shift Leaders to join the team. You will coach Crew Members during your shift to execute Brand standards and deliver a great, friendly guest experience by guiding tasks and providing timely feedback.

As a Shift Leader you set goals, assign work, monitor performance, and help train crew members. You will handle cash controls, ensure safety and sanitation, and uphold brand standards while driving guest satisfaction throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English to communicate with team and guests.
• Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience is required.
• Strong math and writing skills for cash handling and documentation.
• Basic computer skills for POS and scheduling.
• Must be at least 18 years old; HS diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Shift Leaders are responsible for coaching Crew Members throughout their shift to execute operational Brand standards and deliver a great and friendly guest experience. They set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others, celebrating successes and providing timely feedback.

Responsibilities:

Team Environment:

• Support a respectful team environment
• Communicate shift priorities, goals and results with team members
• Support the training of crew members as requested
• Provide coaching and feedback to crew members

Operational Excellence:

• Create and maintain a guest first culture in the restaurant
• Resolve guest issues
• Ensure Brand standards, recipes, and systems are executed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with local and state laws

Profitability:

• Drive sales goals and results
• Execute restaurant standards and marketing initiatives
• Manage cash over/short during shift
• Ensure all products are prepared according to Brand standards
