Position Overview:

The Shift Leader is responsible for leading the store alongside the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. They ensure the team understands goals, expectations, and standards, and foster guest connections during their shift.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Lead shifts focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction, embodying the "Make Fun Happen" attitude.
2. Maximize product sales and manage waste strategically.
3. Maintain the store's appearance and ensure deployment of daily roles and responsibilities.
4. Communicate effectively and address needs proactively.
5. Delegate tasks and own the shift's operations, including SOP and quality standards.
6. Coach and develop team members, providing feedback and training.
7. Perform administrative duties accurately, including deposits, inventory, and ordering.
8. Promote a positive, inclusive culture, embodying Caribou's core values.
9. Take ownership of personal growth and actively seek feedback.
10. Demonstrate leadership confidence, resilience, and joyfulness in role.
11. Lead by example in diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience, or proper training and approval by Caribou Coffee.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 4-8 hours, and perform physical tasks with or without accommodations.
