Position Overview

The Shift Leader oversees store operations in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant GM, ensuring the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, directives, and guest connections during the shift.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Lead shifts with enthusiasm, focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction, embodying "Make Fun Happen".
  2. Maximize product sales and manage waste strategically.
  3. Maintain a “total store vision” for the store’s look and feel.
  4. Understand daily deployment and team roles.
  5. Communicate effectively during shifts to address needs proactively.
  6. Delegate tasks and prioritize effectively during shifts.
  7. Own the current and next shift’s success.
  8. Ensure SOP and quality standards are met consistently.
  9. Coach and give real-time feedback to team members.
  10. Train team on responsibilities, products, and promotions.
  11. Complete administrative tasks such as deposits, inventory, and orders.
  12. Support team development and discuss career growth.

  14. Manage personal impact and demonstrate leadership confidence.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience, or proper training/authorization from Caribou Coffee.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements

Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4-8 hours, with or without accommodations.
