SHIFT LEADER
Reports to General Manager, 1st and 2nd Assistants.
Job Summary
Runs shifts efficiently and motivates team members to ensure every guest leaves happy.
Essential Functions
- Assist in running shifts to meet standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Ensure proper product quality, presentation, and hold times.
- Review deployment sheets and adjust for efficiency and labor costs.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor and coach on safety practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency and train staff on all positions.
- Empower team to handle guest comments appropriately.
- Ensure team knowledge on products and service.
- Maintain standards for uniforms and appearance.
- Follow up on cleanliness, hospitality, and ground appearance reports.
- Manage team member breaks per legal requirements.
- Assist with POS functions like mis-punches, voids, discounts.
- Conduct restaurant tours at various times.
- Manage financial reports, cash drawers, and deposits.
- Access sales and labor data during shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock properly.
- Complete quality and safety checklists accurately.
- Ensure proper personal hygiene and food safety practices.
- Assign and follow up on team tasks.
- Model positive appearance and attitude.
- Attend meetings and follow policies consistently.
- Document product waste and perform cash counting procedures.
- Run POS labor reports daily.
Qualifications
Results-driven, with 1-2 years of leadership experience or equivalent education and experience. Ability to foster communication, teamwork, and cooperation.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for long periods, walk quickly, and bend/reach.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally, less frequently heavier weights.
