Job summary

Slim Chickens in Grimes, IA is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations, guest satisfaction, and team performance. This role includes evenings and weekends and requires you to lead by example, supervise all stations, and ensure brand standards are met.

You will manage labor, help train new hires, and partner with the General Manager on staff development, while contributing to our service-oriented culture and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more fast casual restaurant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Leadership experience.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR SHIFT LEADER

As our Shift Leader (SL), you impact all daily operations, and your skills are critical to the success of your restaurant and team. We are looking for SLs who:

• Maintain a culture of respect and professionalism
• Provide exceptional customer service

Run shifts with operational excellence

• You run shifts and supervise team members on all job stations
• You serve our guests quality food according to brand standards
• You keep the restaurant clean and organized
• You manage labor and food cost within provided budget guidelines

Assist the restaurant General Manager in developing a team

• You coach and develop team members on your shifts
• You are proficient on all job stations and can train new hires on those stations
• You teach your team how to take great care of our guests

Manage administrative duties successfully

• You complete daily labor and payroll paperwork
• You complete daily operational paperwork and processes
