Job summary

Slim Chickens is hiring Front of House Team Members at 2170 E 1st St, Grimes, IA. You will work as a cashier in the restaurant lobby or drive-thru, greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Full-time and part-time positions available with benefits. We provide training and a friendly, service-oriented culture. No prior restaurant experience required; we train you.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with POS or cash registers.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good math skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and leaving the premises.
• Take orders on the drive-thru headset.
• Take orders on the lobby POS.
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner.
• Manage transactions using a cash register.
• Balance the cash register.
• Accept payments in cash, credit, or check.
• Provide change and receipts.
• Fill drinks and make shakes.
• Process returns and refunds, and resolve customer complaints.
• Upsell and cross-sell when appropriate.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CASHIER

The cashier, whether in the restaurant lobby or the drive thru, is the first person our guests interact with! We are looking for friendly, engaging cashiers / front of house team members to perform the following job duties:

• Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
• Taking orders on the drive thru headset
• Taking orders on the point of sale in the lobby
• Interacting with all guests in a friendly manner
• Managing transactions using a cash register
• Balancing the cash register
• Accepting payments in cash, credit or check
• Providing change and receipts
• Filling drinks and making shakes
• Processing returns and refunds, and resolving customer complaints
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
