Description of Position

The Shift Leader works as part of our restaurant team to ensure we provide exceptional service and delicious food in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Shift Leader may work various team member positions throughout the restaurant and will oversee full and partial shifts, including opening and closing the restaurant, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring food quality and sanitation standards are followed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading, monitoring, coaching, and training team members to ensure operational execution.
  • Adhering to scheduled and projected labor metrics while monitoring sales throughout the shift.
  • Ensuring all assigned cleaning duties and tasks are completed thoroughly and with integrity.
  • Being proficient in all restaurant positions and working hands-on with team members in each area.
  • Providing an exceptional Guest experience in collaboration with the team.
  • Ensuring Guest satisfaction by following the Six Service Standards and PLUS 1 as needed.
  • Performing opening and closing managerial duties, including readiness checklists and cash handling duties.
  • Handling Guest issues or conflicts and reporting them to the General Manager immediately.
  • Placing, checking in, and storing food and orders.
  • Completing daily temperature line checks to ensure food safety practices are adhered to.
  • Helping maintain a safe, clean, and fun work environment.
  • Communicating effectively with the management team regarding essential business information.
  • Reporting team member issues or concerns to the General Manager.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours consecutively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including overhead lifting.
  • Reliable transportation.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time team members are eligible for medical, 401(k), and vacation pay after one year.
  • Hourly compensation plus tips.
