Job summary

Oberweis Ice Cream in Elgin, IL is seeking a highly motivated Shift Leader/Key Holder to run daily shop operations and coach the scoop team. You’ll ensure friendly, efficient service, manage opening or closing shifts, and maintain a clean, well-stocked storefront while keeping energy fun and welcoming.

Ideal candidates are 18+, available 3–5 days including nights and weekends, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with opportunities to grow within the brand.

About the Role

We’re looking for a high-energy, people-loving Shift Leader/Key Holder (Must be at least 18 years old and available to work 3-5 days, including nights and weekends) to help lead our ice cream shop to sweet success! You’ll be the right-hand hero to the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, keeping operations smooth, customers happy, and the vibes as fun as our flavors.

Physical Requirements

• Carry up to 50lbs
• Stand and walk on a hard surface for 5-8 hours per day
• Tolerate up to 45 minutes in a walk-in cooler at temperature as low as 32 degrees F during inventory
• Tolerate up to 35 minutes in a walk-in Freezer at temperature at -10 degrees F during inventory and stocking
