Job description

As a Shift Leader at our Duke store located at 1105 W Main St, Durham NC 27701, you are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” by predicting the flow of business during a shift. Your hands-on leadership should include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers. You will also take pride in knowing that your leadership as an Insomniac contributes to a productive and fun night for your store.

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to guests
• Support store operations by maintaining efficiency, communicating, and coaching team members
• Delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning, leading the cookie crew
• Work alongside the Cookie Crew
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and adhere to food safety practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of customer service experience
• Experience with Point of Sale systems
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing, friendly, patient
• Detail-oriented and results-driven
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 or older
