A Shift Leader is responsible for supporting the management team in the execution of running their assigned location. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Coaching staff to deliver exceptional customer service;
• Producing high-quality food;
• Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience;
• Cash handling;
• Following the Learning Management System Training Program;
• Developing others for career growth;
• Enforcing policies and procedures;
• Participating in local and national marketing initiatives;
• Building sales;
• Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation practices;
• Being certified in all four restaurant positions;
• Effective communication;
• Having a sense of urgency;

The role also requires:

• Moving or transporting up to 50 lbs unless covered by ADA or with a medical note;
• Working 38-40 hours per week;
• Reliable transportation;
• Leading by example in food quality, customer interaction, and appearance;
• Creating food that meets Jersey Mike's standards;
• Maintaining a clean restaurant environment;
• Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere;
• Multitasking and working with urgency;
• Interfacing with customers to provide an exceptional experience;
• Understanding accountability and integrity;
• Key holding responsibilities;
• Performing opening and closing tasks;
• Baking bread and prepping all items;
• Managing and leading a crew of 2-5 people;
• Proficiency in slicing.

  Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Preferred 1 year QSR experience;
  • Must be 18+ to operate the slicer;
  • Serve Safe Food Handler Certification;
  • Reliable transportation.
