Responsibilities

• Manage Hourly Team Members and interact with Guests in a friendly manner.
• Execute opening, mid, and closing duties according to procedures.
• Handle Guest concerns and guide towards positive resolutions.
• Perform cash-handling and manage deposits during shifts.
• Motivate Team Members to follow procedures and ensure positive Guest experiences.
• De-escalate issues between Team Members while making them feel heard.
• Support Management with inventory processes.
• Prioritize food safety by performing line checks and keeping the restaurant clean.
• Manage the daily prep list and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a safe environment for Team Members & Guests.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and embrace feedback.
• Proficiently manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform well in all areas of the restaurant related to culinary and Guest interaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and one that motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive Guest experience.
• Skilled at de‑escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
• Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order.
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles.
• It is a role model when it comes to maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members & Guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a work or dining space.
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.
• Proficient in a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively.
• Is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and Guest interaction.
