Job summary

Jersey Mike’s Subs is seeking a Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This leadership role focuses on coaching teammates, upholding quality and cleanliness, and delivering a complete guest experience with urgency and integrity.

You will help manage daily operations, participate in local and national marketing initiatives, and develop staff for future growth while supporting store management and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate slicer.
• ServSafe / Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to learn, then coach!

Responsibilities

• Coaching and motivating team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Producing food that meets Jersey Mike’s high quality and consistency standards.
• Delivering the complete Jersey Mike’s guest experience.
• Leading by example with professionalism, urgency, and integrity.
• Managing cash handling and key-holder responsibilities.
• Opening and closing the restaurant.
• Enforcing policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Maintaining a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
• Leading and managing a crew of team members.
• Participating in local and national marketing initiatives.
• Helping build sales through execution, service, and teamwork.
• Developing team members for future growth and advancement.
• Completing and following the Learning Management System (LMS) training program.
• Communicating effectively with the GM, ASM, and Other Managers.
• Operating with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Full-time AND Part-time options

Pay & Perks

• $15.00–$16.00 per hour + tips
• (average tips add $3–$5/hour)
