Description

Position Summary: Shift Leaders provide direct supervision and ensure all crew members work efficiently and effectively during their shift. They do not have a minimum hour requirement.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

• Adhere to restaurant performance standards, ensuring crew members are actively working and reassigning tasks as needed.
• Resolve guest concerns, determine if customer credit is necessary, and document decisions appropriately.
• Meet guest needs by managing food prep, delivery times, table service, and guest greetings and farewells.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, including glove use, cleanliness, proper food storage, and floor safety.
• Ensure crew compliance with uniform and safety guidelines.
• Perform shift tasks such as cash handling, deposits, and end-of-shift activities, documenting anomalies as required.
• Ensure safety and security of all personnel, guests, and assets, including locking doors and setting alarms.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, ordering, and inventory assistance.
• Assist in training and developing crew members.

Experience/Education & Certification

• Must pass the Mazzio’s Comp 1 Test.
• May require Food Handler’s permit, Sanitation Certification, or other permits/licenses based on local laws.
• Preferred valid driver’s license and insurance, with a suitable driving record.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert force up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform tasks from standing, walking, and sitting.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and water.

Tools and Equipment

• Includes cash registers, ovens, computers, and kitchen tools.
