Banfield Pet Hospital in Morehead City is seeking a full-time Shift Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to lead the veterinary team and help deliver outstanding pet care. You will mentor paraprofessional staff, coordinate client flow, and ensure high-quality clinical and client service in a busy hospital environment.

Formación

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program.
• Ability to train and mentor paraprofessional associates.
• Willingness to lead and collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver high-quality pet care.

Responsabilidades

• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services, Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care and pet health needs.
• Manage routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets and educating them about their pet's health.
• Perform veterinary technician appointments under supervision of a veterinarian where appropriate and in compliance with state law.
• Assist incoming clients by completing documentation and entering pet information and history in the computer.
• Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, and dispensing prescription items per veterinary instructions.
• Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and applying opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with the veterinarian to ensure best quality pet care and maximize productivity.
• Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain proper medical charts.
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and associates by using proper restraint techniques and maintaining clean treatment areas.
• Assist with surgery as applicable.
• Train and mentor new paraprofessional associates.
